Housed in a building dating back to 1918 on Main Street in downtown Weaverville, our shop has given us the delightful experience of owning a business in a small town. People stop in to look around, or to ask directions, or maybe just to chat. We wouldn't want it any other way. It is the people that make a business worth having, and we are indebted to the people of the area who continue supporting us and recommending us to others. Our shop, Art Accents, owned by Bob and Carla Mitchell, opened its doors in August of 1994. Previously, Bob was a photographer who took scenic shots of the picturesque beauty of Western North Carolina and traveled up and down the East Coast doing art shows. Carla ran a wholesale mat-cutting business from home, while working in Special Education. When time came for a change, Art Accents Frame Shop came to be.

Our shop has been a successful venture since day one. Our loyal customers come from Weaverville as well as North Asheville, northern Buncombe County and Madison County.
